چکیده

The separation energy and half-life of some heavy proton emitting nuclei, and the single-particle structure of the unbound 11N , have been evaluated by implementing a careful numerical treatment to solve Schrödinger equation in a continuum discretization context. The basic scheme behind the method consists in using the ground-state proton emitter in connection with an isolated single-particle resonance.

Dynamical particle-phonon couplings in proton emission from spherical nuclei

We present results of coupled-channels calculations which are performed to understand the role of vibrational excitations of the daughter nucleus in proton emission decay of spherical nuclei. It is shown that the experimental decay rates from the 2d3/2, 3s1/2 and 1h11/2 states in proton emitting nuclei Re are reproduced simultaneously when the quadrupole phonon excitation of the core nuclei is ...

Predicting narrow states in the spectrum of a nucleus beyond the proton drip line.

Properties of particle-unstable nuclei lying beyond the proton drip line can be ascertained by considering the (usually known) properties of its mirror neutron-rich system. We have used a multichannel algebraic scattering theory to map the known properties of the neutron-14C system to those of the proton-14O one from which we deduce that the particle-unstable 15F will have a spectrum of two low...

Role of dynamical particle-vibration coupling in reconciliation of the d3/2 puzzle for spherical proton emitters

It has been observed that decay rate for proton emission from d3/2 single particle state is systematically quenched compared with the prediction of a one dimensional potential model although the same model successfully accounts for measured decay rates from s1/2 and h11/2 states. We reconcile this discrepancy by solving coupled-channels equations, taking into account couplings between the proto...

Continuum corrections to the level density and its dependence on excitation energy, n-p asymmetry, and deformation

In the independent-particle model, the nuclear level density is determined from the neutron and proton singleparticle level densities. The single-particle level density for the positive-energy continuum levels is important at high excitation energies for stable nuclei and at all excitation energies for nuclei near the drip lines. This singleparticle level density is subdivided into compound-nuc...

On a Manifestation of Dibaryon Resonances in the Structure of Proton-proton Total Cross-section at Low Energies

A manifestation of narrow diproton resonances in the early discovered global structure of proton-proton total cross section (see [8, 9]) at low energies is discussed. It is also discussed the existence of new particle with the mass 1.833MeV predicted early.
